You will learn the 46 Hiragana and 46 Katakana characters, the Dakuon (濁音, e.g. じ), Handakuon (半濁音, e.g. ぱ), and Youon (拗音, e.g. きゃ and キャ), the small forms of Hiragana and Katakana.
For each Hiragana and Katakana characters, the book gives you a mnemonic phrase which describes the picture that is shown above it. For instance, you will see the phrase "き is a big key to a big house.", and above it, a picture of the phrase will be shown. By giving this kind of examples, it allows learners to remember hiragana and katakana more easily.
While introducing each kana, the book also gives example words and phrases. It helps learners to remember Japanese characters and expands their vocabulary.
